Creative Code: Where Technology Meets Art
7 June, 2016 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm$20 - $60
Art and technology are merging, and creative pursuits are increasingly underpinned by computer-generated design, coding and technology.
The intersection and blurring of the disciplines of STEM and arts to create STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and maths) is a hugely important trend – and it’s one where Australia punches above its weight.
The Warren Centre’s Creative Code: Where Technology Meets Art is a vivid, brilliant glimpse of how creativity and sensory innovation combined with information and computing technology are changing entertainment, leisure and how we interact. Join us on Tuesday 7 June for presentations at Customs House at Circular Quay, connect for some networking and drinks, then enjoy this year’s light show at Sydney Harbour.
The Creative Code event features some of Australia’s most talented and prominent professionals in the field. Get tickets now!
The event is moderated by Gail Silman, Principal Project Officer for Training Services NSW and passionate STEAM advocate, with a panel that includes:
- Chris Bennett, VP and General Manager, Dolby Labs Australia
- Wayne Lewis, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Rising Sun Pictures
- Dr Martin Tomitsch, Head of Design Lab, University of Sydney
The event will take place in the Barnet Long Room at Sydney’s Customs House. It is a 5:30pm arrival for a prompt 6:00pm start. It will be followed by drinks and canapés with the opportunity to network.
