The future of subterranean infrastructure: international perspectives
24 November, 2016 @ 11:45 am - 2:15 pm$90
The Warren Centre presents The future of subterranean infrastructure: international perspectives, an exclusive lunch event with world-renowned professionals in infrastructure delivery.
$38 billion has currently been pledged in the NSW Government’s 2015-16 State Budget for major capital works with the majority of this allocated to major transport projects in Sydney. NSW is undergoing a once-in-a-decade level of infrastructure development, and much of the investment is in subterranean infrastructure for major rail and road networks and the development of a second harbour crossing.
A discussion on the challenges and opportunities in subterranean infrastructure is timely, and the Warren Centre is delighted to have some leading international experts to share their insights. This discussion will highlight the main challenges and opportunities in the delivery of subterranean infrastructure and how these experiences can assist the current NSW program of major infrastructure
We have been able to secure outstanding speakers from across the world who are currently working at the forefront of technical and commercial knowledge on the subject:
- Prof Andrew McNaughton, Technical Director, High Speed 2 Ltd, UK
- Hans-Peter Vetsch, Vetsch Rail Consulting, former Head of Safety & Operations, AlpTransit Gotthard Ltd, Switzerland
- Julian Cromarty, Head of Spatial Innovation Program, Emergency Coordination Unit, NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation
