TWC Innovation Lecture 2015 with Salah Sukkarieh

The Warren Centre’s 2015 Innovation Lecture, Robotics, Automation and Intelligent Operations, will be presented in Sydney on 17 November by Salah Sukkarieh, Professor of Robotic and Intelligent Systems at the University of Sydney.

Salah’s presentation will explain how robotics and intelligent systems are converging to transform industry, the trends that are driving future R&D of autonomous systems, and what we need to consider when looking at how we integrate robotics and human capability.

Salah will speak about:

  • Examples of robotic ground and air vehicles, their capabilities and where the technology is taking us
  • Autonomous Operations like those found in mining, agriculture and intelligent transportation
  • Is there a human-machine divide or is there synergy?
  • What do we need to look at when considering the future impact of automation in our lives?
