ATP Innovations, together with the NSW Office for Health and Medical Research, has opened applications for its Medical Device Commercialisation Program 2015. The three-month free-of-charge program will take up to 20 post-doctoral researchers and clinicians, PhD and Masters candidates.
The MDCTP was first run in 2014, and last year’s graduates have already started companies, raised capital from investors, engaged industry partners and received $1.2m in developmental grants to create jobs in Australia and abroad.
During the program, successful candidates will develop skills in entrepreneurship, medical device design, development and commercialisation. It will culminate in a high profile technology showcase event to industry, investors and peers.
MDCTP graduates may also be awarded educational scholarships, sponsored opportunities to explore global markets or seed capital to start their own business, in order to foster medical research and commercialisation in NSW.
Applicants should submit an application through the ATP Innovations website before the closing deadline on Thursday 25 June 2015. Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview. The program will begin in the second week of August.
