The Warren Centre is delighted to announce the appointment of Richard Kell AM to the role of Chair. With 50 years as a professional engineer in Australia and overseas, Richard brings incomparable experience as we continue to evolve

Richard is a deeply respected engineering and business leader with a wealth of experience in major infrastructure projects around the world.

Richard has led major infrastructure expansions in Australia, Papua New Guinea, Pacific Islands, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia and Vietnam and was most recently the Managing Director and Chairman of engineering firm Cardno. Richard remains as a consultant to the company and was President of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers, FIDIC (2003-2005) as well as a past President of the Association of Consulting Engineers Australia (1994-1995).

Richard was named a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in 1998 for services to Australia in Engineering, particularly Bridge Engineering and International Affairs. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and an Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia. He was recipient of the IEAust John Connell Medal for Structural Engineering 2000 and an Australian Centenary Medal in 2001.
