Shaping Tomorrow: The future of construction

In the modern urban environment, the delivery of complex construction projects must navigate through existing infrastructure and housing, while meeting community expectations. Innovative ways to deliver major infrastructure, without massive disruption, are vital.

The Warren Centre’s 2017 Innovation Lecture in Sydney highlighted the opportunity to incorporate digital engineering, designing for manufacture and assembly, digital fabrication and additive manufacturing, intelligent structures, massive analytics and artificial intelligence, robotics, automation and computer vision and biomimetic engineering in construction.

The audience sat enraptured, phones at the ready with half-composed tweets, unable to look away as Andrew Harris, Director for Laing O’Rourke’s Engineering Excellence Group, showed how prototyping and radical new technologies are changing the delivery of complex infrastructure around the world.

There’s still time to catch up with Andrew at our events in Parramatta, Adelaide and Melbourne – book your ticket now!
