Some farmers are not waiting for a political consensus to embrace renewables like solar cells. For irrigators, it’s all about the bottom line.
Currently, according to a report by the ABC, farmers in Australia are earning up to 13.5% yearly return on investment from photovoltaic installations that reduce energy bills and increase yield.
As grid energy prices continue to rise, renewable installations become increasingly attractive to farmers.
