Richard Branson announced that Virgin Galactic is recommencing manned powered test flights with the aim of riding as a passenger himself by mid-2018. We can only imagine the workload for The Warren Centre’s 2014 Innovation Lecturer, Enrico Palermo, given Branson’s target to fly every three weeks to prepare for commercial trips by the end of 2018. The powered flight will be the first since the accident that resulted in the tragic death of co-pilot Michael Alsbury more than two and a half years ago.
